Race through the Everglades on an airboat, hands-down the most thrilling way to observe this amazing ecosystem and its exceptional wildlife. After hopping aboard the airboat, which is specially designed with a flat bottom to skim across the shallow water, you will tear off on a thrilling ride through the immense watery wilderness. You will pass sawgrass prairies, cypress-dotted swamps and hardwood forests, all of which make up the Everglades National Park, which was established in 1947. A massive watershed, the naturally beautiful Everglades supports thousands of species of plants and animals, the most renowned being the American Alligator, which can grow up to 16 feet long. There’s no telling what you will see, although alligators, egrets, herons, iguanas and turtles are frequently spotted. Later, you will enjoy free time in the park, where you might watch an alligator show and browse the reptile exhibit.
